03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

:: Thursday, November 27, 2003 ::
Well, here I am ready to go to work for White Rose...Good times.

I'm still debating over the whole Mac vs. PC thing... but more about that later...

So I think I encountered the most offensive customer ever yesterday at Best Buy.

This group of people come in, 3 men and a women. One of the men was looking to buy a digital camera for a trip to France or something like that, so I'm explaining all of the features. The guy looking for the camera was completely attentive, but his brother was just totally off the wall. First of all, he was like an ADD case without the ritalin because he kept using the camera to "pretend" to take pictures. Mind you, the camera was on and had an internal memory so he could have just taken the pictures anyway...but he kept making those irritating clicking sounds that a one makes when they, well, pretend to take pictures. Ugh. But that's not the end of it. I went to go get a new set of batteries, and while I'm putting them into the camera, the guy starts making noises and then he says, (and I kid you not...) "Haha! I'm singing a Chinese song!". I had to use all of my willpower to resist making a face at him... And even after he said that, he continues to "sing"....

A little bit later, I was getting something out of the glass case, and in order to get my attention, he's obnoxiously yells, "Madam! Madam! Madam! Madam! Madam!" *shudder*. I mean, do I look like a "Madam" to you?? That's like calling a teenager "sir". Please...and to do it repeatedly...

Then, while I'm explaining the details of the camera to the normal man, he cuts in and mockingly says, "Oh yes...I understand!"

Oh. my. lord. I wanted to kick him in the balls so badly, but that wouldn't be very good customer service, would it? Actually, I would be doing a service to society as a whole...but still, probably just a tad inappropriate ;)

Back later...maybe...if I feel like doing another entry....
